November seems to have come and gone so quickly! Thanksgiving was a great, and we were able to spend time with a lot of family. My brother Josh came to visit us for the holiday which was so nice.

We spent Thanksgiving Day with Cody's family (Teresa, Rick, Matt, and Danica). Then the day after Thanksgiving we spent it with my family.(My parents, my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) Hudson tried some mashed potatoes and chocolate pie.

December 4th Hudson turned ten months old! He is a busy busy boy!
Weight: He weighs about 17 lbs and 8 oz. I'm not sure of his length, but he seems long. He is still wearing mostly 6-9 months clothing, but I having a feeling he will move up to 9-12 soon. Still staying at the 3rd percentile range.
Eating: He is eating on a normal schedule now (3 meals a day with one snack) We have tried a few table foods like bananas, potatoes, and carrots. He still isn't very interested. He loves all the Gerber graduate snacks (puffs, crunchies, yogurt melts) and he can feed himself with all of them. He holds his bottle all by himself, and we are still working on finding the right sippy cup that he likes.
Play: He moves and explores everything. His favorite is the cable receiver and sound system. We are learning of all the things we need to baby proof. He also enjoys opening and closing the fireplace cover. He is also fascinated by the presents and the tree (Yes, I was crazy enough to put low ornaments and wrapped gifts under the tree with a ten month old!)
He gnawed on one and unwrapped a little corner. That's ok though, he has a head start for Saturday. He also LOVES bath time. I think he would spend all night in there if I would let him.
Tricks: He can crawl everywhere, and he is getting quick! He can stand holding on to something, and pull up to his knees.
Talking: He can say dadadada and eh. Dadada is by far is favorite. I think he is starting to be able to understanding things though. I asked him if he wanted his bottle today and answered back with a sound and followed me to the kitchen! Still no teeth!
We are now having "expected" time off, but the middle of December brought about some "unexpected" time off :(. We got hit with the dreaded RSV. Hudson was diagnosed with RSV December 6th. That week was full of breathing treatments, little sleep, and lots of snot! He also had an ear infection (which is common) BUT late December 8th he had a reaction to the Amoxicillan. (we won't be taking that again) He had a crazy rash so we spent the 9th in the doctors office again.
Then the night of the 9th he started to have very labored breathing. So we spent the 9th and 10th at the hosptial monitoring his breathing. All in all he missed 8 days of daycare. In general he stayed pretty happy. He still laughed and played. The doctors were all surprised how playful he was being that sick. One even made the comment "he certainly doesn't look sick!" And then they heard the cough!
Luckily I only had to take off four days of the eight. We are so blessed that my step-dad, Roger, came down to help us out. He was Hudson's "nurse" for that awful time off! Hudson is now healthy and completely free of that yucky virus! YAY!!!
We were scheduled to have family portraits taken in the middle of all of the sickness. (didn't make it) So we decided we would just have to try to take a few ourselves. Cody did a great job!! Here are a few of them...

So now we get to spend time together with our "real" time off. I am so lucky to have a profession where I get off from now until January 4th. We spent yesterday at the mall shopping and visiting Santa. I wasn't sure what to expect with Santa. I thought he would probably go to him because he will go to pretty much anyone. He didn't cry at all! Which I was thankful for, but we didn't get a smile. He just seemed very interested in checking everything out. Side note--Santa line isn't how it used to be! I entered the line virtually through a website. They told me how many people where in front of me and what my expected time would be to visit Santa. Then they sent me a text when I was at the front of line. We walked right up and met Santa! I was very impressed.
