5 months old

Hudson turned 5 months old on July 4th. He is such a happy baby these days! My Dad and step-mom were in Hawaii when Alexis stayed with us and the Maui shirt was one of his souvenirs.

Hudson is eating very well! He has rice cereal for breakfast and dinner. We just started giving him a vegetable for lunch. So far he has only tried squash but loves it! He still has 4-5 bottles of formula throughout the day.

Hudson is still wearing a size 2 diaper. He mostly wears size 3-6 clothes. He is becoming much more active. He kicks and scoots a lot! He loves to talk to his toys. He has rolled over a few times and I barely caught it on video yesterday.

He is also starting to really take in the things around him. He has shown great interest in the pugs lately. Here is Lola giving him some lovin'!

Missouri Part II

Thanks so much to my mom, Rog, and my Aunt Marty for taking pictures in Missouri so we have them as memories in the future. Our family reunion in Missouri is a time for fellowship among our family.

Roger and Marilyn Moon had four children: Mindy, Marty, Mickie, and Rog. Rog is my step dad who has been married to my mom for the past 16 years. So every summer the 6 of them plus their families meet and have a blast.

He doesn't know the fun he is in for! On the seven hour car ride to Kimberling City, MO.

Part of our tradition is to have a bowling tournament the Thursday of the trip. The four sibling families all compete against each other while the grandparents enjoy watching. I can't wait until Hudson learns how to bowl! Here is the gang...

Believe it or not for the first time in ten years our family won! Maybe Hudson was good luck! Here we are with the trophy ball... (L to R) Cody, Hudson, Mom, Rog, Me, Cory)

Missouri Part I

Right after Alexis left, literally the day after, Hudson and I set out for our first true road trip. We left about 6:30 am on June 26th for Kimberling City, MO. The Moon family reunion takes place on Table Rock Lake the last week in June every summer. The car trip was about 7 hours. Hudson did great both ways! On the way there we stopped twice to feed him and he slept a combined 4 hours of the trip. About the last 30 minutes he fussed and was ready to be there but Baby Einstein calmed him. It was really crazy to see. As soon as the music turned on he stopped. On the way back we fed him right before we left. So the trip back we only stopped once to feed him and he slept 4 hours that trip too. We stayed June 26th-July 3rd and Cody met us and stayed with us June 30th-July 3rd. I was very proud as I remembered everything needed for Hudson...minus my camera :( So I have one picture and one video to share. Part II will come soon when I get some pictures from my mom and introduce you to all the relatives that met him for the first time.

Arboretum

While both Alexis and Great Memaw were here visiting Hudson had his first trip to the Arboretum. I say first because I definitely plan to take him back to take some great pictures. I think it would be fun to take fall and spring pictures there each year and compare them. Well, this trip he slept through the entire visit minus the gift shop. So this was the only picture I got!

Here are some pictures of Alexis and I to show that we were actually at the Arboretum!

Great Memaw visits

While Alexis was here visiting we also had a visit from Great Memaw (Cody's grandmother). It was her first time to visit Hudson. Here are some family pics...

Aunt Alexis Visits

Well I got a little behind on blogging as Hudson and I have been very busy so far this summer. Our second week of summer Aunt Alexis came to visit. She stayed with us June 10th through June 25th. She was such a great help! She learned to feed him and change diapers. We had plenty of time to play too though.

Here is a picture of Hudson on one of our many shopping trips. Alexis lives in Midland (one small mall) so I tried to take her on a tour of all North Dallas has to offer.

She bought Hudson these cute sunglasses at the Children's Place outlet. Yes I mean we did A LOT of shopping (including the Allen Outlets)
