Missouri Part I

Right after Alexis left, literally the day after, Hudson and I set out for our first true road trip. We left about 6:30 am on June 26th for Kimberling City, MO. The Moon family reunion takes place on Table Rock Lake the last week in June every summer. The car trip was about 7 hours. Hudson did great both ways! On the way there we stopped twice to feed him and he slept a combined 4 hours of the trip. About the last 30 minutes he fussed and was ready to be there but Baby Einstein calmed him. It was really crazy to see. As soon as the music turned on he stopped. On the way back we fed him right before we left. So the trip back we only stopped once to feed him and he slept 4 hours that trip too. We stayed June 26th-July 3rd and Cody met us and stayed with us June 30th-July 3rd. I was very proud as I remembered everything needed for Hudson...minus my camera :( So I have one picture and one video to share. Part II will come soon when I get some pictures from my mom and introduce you to all the relatives that met him for the first time.

Arboretum

While both Alexis and Great Memaw were here visiting Hudson had his first trip to the Arboretum. I say first because I definitely plan to take him back to take some great pictures. I think it would be fun to take fall and spring pictures there each year and compare them. Well, this trip he slept through the entire visit minus the gift shop. So this was the only picture I got!

Here are some pictures of Alexis and I to show that we were actually at the Arboretum!

Great Memaw visits

While Alexis was here visiting we also had a visit from Great Memaw (Cody's grandmother). It was her first time to visit Hudson. Here are some family pics...

Aunt Alexis Visits

Well I got a little behind on blogging as Hudson and I have been very busy so far this summer. Our second week of summer Aunt Alexis came to visit. She stayed with us June 10th through June 25th. She was such a great help! She learned to feed him and change diapers. We had plenty of time to play too though.

Here is a picture of Hudson on one of our many shopping trips. Alexis lives in Midland (one small mall) so I tried to take her on a tour of all North Dallas has to offer.

She bought Hudson these cute sunglasses at the Children's Place outlet. Yes I mean we did A LOT of shopping (including the Allen Outlets)

4 months

It's Hudson here! Friday, June 4th I was 4 months old. I had my 4 month old check up and didn't have to get my shots. Instead I got a panda! (Not a real one guys!)

This is my new breathing machine. My doctor told my mom I have bronchiolitis (the reason I didn't get my shots) so I have to do breathing treatments for the next two weeks. It's not terrible though. My new breathing machine (the panda) has a pacifier attachment. So I can just suck on the pacifier while I get my treatment. Much better than having that mask strapped to me! Although I think mom still uses that when I get my treatments and I'm sleeping.

At my appointment my doctor told me I should start trying rice cereal in a spoon instead of in my bottle. That spoon is hard work! It's quite a mess now but I think I will eventually get the hang of it.

4 month old stats:
weight- 12 lbs 2 oz (6th percentile)
length- 24.5 inches (38th percentile)
eating- 5 bottles a day (6-8 oz per feeding); night bottle w/rice; trying to eat rice with a spoon!
diapers- size 2
clothes- mostly 3-6 months; shorts still 0-3 months
eyes- looking blue/green
favorite toy(s)- activity mat, rattle, crinkle elephant
tricks- smile, laugh, babble

Family Renunion (April)

Here are some pictures from our family reunion back in April. I know this is a little late to put them up but I want to keep this blog as our scrapbook so I wanted to make sure they got in! Also, if you read my mom's blog you've already seen them. I forgot to bring my camera so I had to steal her pictures!

First Memorial Day...sick :(

Well Hudson had his first "sickness" and we were at the lake! We woke up Saturday morning after a night of almost no sleep. So we started searching for a doctor in Gun Barrel City, TX on a weekend. The only luck we had was in the hospital ER so that's where we went. Hudson's first trip to the ER. (Although not really an "emergency") The doctor diagnosed him with early signs of bronchitis. No good! So we did a breathing treatment (which he did not enjoy whatsoever!) at the hospital and then took a steroid, liquid breathing treatment, and antibiotic for five days! (Glad that is over)

Even though Hudson was pretty sick it didn't seem to phase him too much. A few pictures of him enjoying his first Memorial Day weekend.
Talking with Dad about his weekend at the lake...

We have had quite a few very hot days here lately. This weekend the high is even 104! Today was a bit muggy but finally cooler so we decided to take an evening walk. Hudson is sitting like a big boy in his stroller now.

When I picked Hudson up from daycare today his teacher told me that he played in the excersaucer today! So we decided to try out his bouncer at home. So Cody got it down out of the attic and put it all together.

After all of that hard work I have no picture of Hudson in his own bouncer. Mainly because he was still way too small! Maybe in another month.

4 months old tomorrow! And a check up. Probably no shots though because he is still coughing quite a bit.
